An introduction to PFM Events & Catering Group

PFM Events & Catering Group are an award-wining catering company, specialising in modern and mainstream event catering for corporate, community, private and wedding celebrations. Our company was built from our specilist experiences in events & banquetting in top tier companies and five star hotels, and general management in key areas of customer service and large project management.

PFM Events & Catering is privately owned and managed by Gil and Jenn Lithgow.

PFM evolved out of the original Party Food Shop model, first opening its doors in 2003. In 2009, Gil and Jenn purchased the business, relaunched it as Party Food Melbourne as it was redefined from party food supply to full service event catering. Specialisations were created to service the corporate, private, wedding and community events markets in the growing market. Through further education of our coordination and events management team, we also developed a raft of non-catering ‘whole of event’ services to better support our busy customers. These services include marquees, venue sourcing, RSVP services, decor, entertainment, specialty suppliers such as security, and our Wedding Ceremony+Reception Packages.

COVID-19 & PFM

Whilst COVID-19 and successive lockdowns across Melbourne have taken a huge toll on the events industry, PFM are still trading. We have a successful track record in providing a range of COVID-safe catering, and regularly liaise with our peers internationally to ensure that we are bringing current best practice advice to each event.

Naturally, we have been behind the scenes in many high profile events.

Jennifer represented PFM in The Mentor TV Show, hosted by Mark Bouris.

PFM have appeared on perennial favourite TV shows like The Block and Sunrise.

Our catering creations and wedding styling have been published in Modern Wedding magazine and industry editorials such as Lenzo.

Recognition

We are honoured to be awarded Best Catering Company by APAC Insider, in the Australian Enterprise Awards section.

Our showroom decor work has received multi-year awards for our client, Penfold Mazda.

Neither of these recognition programs required PFM to be a paid member or provide financial contribution to the organisation in order to be considered award-worthy. PFM did not apply to receive either of these awards.
